Trip to Koh Tao & Koh Samui (Part 2)

Good morrrning everyone! We woke up early on the second day. Nampak tak betapa excited nya kami nak tengok pantai! Ye lah, we arrived kat Koh Tao di malam hari memang tak nampak pemandagan langsung la kan. So our activity for today ialah nak gi island hopping and yang penting skali nak ke Koh Nanyuan. Malam sebelum tu kami ada tanya dengan receptionist hotel regarding the snorkelling activity ni and dia bagi tau la their price.

- Boat only (water taxi) to Koh Nanyuan - 300 bhat per person
- Big boat package including meal, snorkelling gear, free flow drinks and 5 islands hopping - 750 bhat

My husband and I decided to go jalan-jalan kat area jetty dengan harapan dapat jumpa the cheap-cheap boat fares la yang sudi bawa kami g island hopping. I confident ajak husband sebab ingatkan anjing-anjing tido di siang hari. So berjalan la kami sampai la depan satu hotel for divers ni, anjing dia duk berkeliaran. Terus I stop and nak patah balik sewa moto! Haha. Tapi nasib baik ada sorang mat saleh ni panggil anjing tu ikot dia pi tempat lain. Legaaaa! Sampai je kat jetty nampak plak stall pancake tu dah ready for business. Ape lagi, itu lah breakfast kami for that day.

Sampai sana terus order tak payah nak pikir lama-lama. Kiki! :p

Kami dengan tamaknya order 2 pancakes. Banana nutella for me and banana nutella coconut for husband. Nasib baik licin masuk perut! Btw, yang banana nutella with coconut tu sedappppp! Walaupon dah nampak ada sign halal, I still pi tanya penjual tu sebab I ternampak perkataan "sausage". Then ada pakcik berdiri sebelah kedai tu cakap we use halal sausage. Mungkin dia owner stall tu kot. Then pakcik tu blah, tak sempat nak tanya tempat makan halal area Koh Tao ni. So I tanya la si penjual tu and dia kata xde! :(

Lepas makan, kami sambung cari abang boat. Kawan kami yang dua orang tu nak pi diving. Kami berpecah cari pakej masing-masing. Dorang cari area hotel je sebab area tu berlambak pakej dive. Kami ada nampak sekumpulan abang boat nearby jetty Seatran, so tanpa berlengah terus tanya harga, nanti membazir masa plak.

Boat only (water taxi) to Koh Nanyuan - 400 bhat per person
2 islands (Koh Nanyuan + Mango Bay) - 500 bhat per person.
Sewa boat for the whole day (private trip la konon) - 3000 bhat

I told my husband, mahal la pulak depa ni charge. Biasanya hotel la yang charge mahal kan. Kami pikir punya pikir, nak balik hotel dulu cari geng yang 2 orang tu. Kalau dorang nk join lepas dive, boleh amik half day tour. Cheaper la kan. So bergegas la kami balik ke hotel. I nak naik taxi tapi husband x nak! Fluent okaaay!

This time kami lalu jalan pantai. Rupa-rupa ending tu jalan mati, nak kena panjat batu-batu besar or berenang untuk ke sebalik batu tu sebab hotel kami kat situ. Lol! So kami redah je la mana yang nampak sesuai, sekali keluar kat area dapur umah oranggg..

Sampai area hotel, nampak our friends ada lagi. Ingat dah g dive ke ape ke. Rupaaanya dorang tak jadi dive on that day, tunda ke 3rd day sebab boat dive dah berlepas pergi meninggalkan dorang. Anddd dorang plak dah beli pakej island hopping dengan hotel, so sia-sia je la perjalanan kami ke jetty selain dapat makan pancake. Haha. Kami pon join je la dorang. Bayar 750 bhat per person. receptionist tu tanya nak lauk ape, memandangkan kami xleh makan pork. Tengah rushing, xleh nak pikir sangat so I ye kan je ape yang dia suggest which was nasi putih dengan sayur goreng. Pastu our tour guide dah sampai terus je la kami follow dia naik pick up truck untuk ke jetty.

Before ke jetty, dia dropkan kami kat satu restoren ni. I rasa restoren ni la yang masakkan nasik untuk kami semua. Laju je mata cari perkataan pork kat menu, dengan harapan tak nampak la perkataan tu! Memang tak mungkin la kaannn.. berlambak perkataan pork sana sini, terus jadi tak lalu nak makan sayur goreng tu, Nasib baik ada bawak bekal Brahim's pi naik boat. Lepas sesi suai kenal and registration, tour guide bagi snorkelling gear and kami berjalan ke jetty.

More than 30 orang, penuh sangat pon tak best.

So tempat yang akan kami lawati ialah :

Ao Leuk Bay - cantik gilaaaa!
Shark Bay - tourist from Germany ada jumpa shark
Hin Wong Bay
Mango Bay
Koh Nanyuan - 2 hours boleh lepak sini.

Below picture : Ao Leuk Bay! Verrryyyyy nice. Love the azure blue water.

Gambar tempat snorkelling lain xde sebab tangan dah basah, malas nak pegang kamera. So our last stop ialah Koh Nanyuan. Kami terus je cari tempat hiking then baru lepak pantai.

On the way ke tempat hiking which is on the left.. ada satu teluk. Banyak batu-batu kecil kat sini. Xde orang mandi manda sangat. Opposite this teluk, pon sama, ada batu-batu but still boleh mandi manda la. For me, teluk yang paling best is yang belah kanan dari entrance sebab ada part air yang jernih xde batu-batu langsung and boleh nampak ikan. Crystal clear!

Okay, back to the hiking story. Dalam 20 minutes jugak la nak panjat. But before jalan berbukit (ada disediakan tangga) kena lalu jambatan kayu dulu. Ish, serious patut buat proper la sebab ramai kot tourist lalu lalang kat sini. Rasanya kayu-kayu tu tunggu masa je patah. Eh, banyak complaint plak! Haha. Nanti korang akan nampak few signboard as below. Ikot je confirm tak sesat.

Antara view while walking on the jambatan kayu.

Kena panjat batu-batu besar tu sendiri. Husband tengah berteduh tunggu turn, and kat atas tu memang tak muat la ramai-ramai. Ada yang jenis x paham, redah je naik walaupon masih ramai lagi kat atas buat kan satu-satu nya jalan turun terblock and buatkan orang atas nak turun. Luckily masa kami naik tu tengah tak ramai orang so cepat-cepat la snap. Tapi kalot-kalot jgk amik gamba sebab kesian kat orang lain la kan kalau kita duk gila glamer kat atas tu.

View from the top. Breathtaking beauty!

Dalam 15-30 minit depend on jenis boat. Sampai je hotel, mandi-manda then rest sementara tunggu time nak dinner. :)

Cha Tra Mue (Number One Brand Since 1945)

Original Thai Tea Since 1945 / Cha Tra Mue / Number One Brand Since 1945 or what ever they called it..

All I know is I'm so excited when I google bout this brand to show to my husband, bout the best ice tea I ever had.. and found a link saying that Cha Tra Mue is already in Malaysiaaa! Sayy whattttt?

So ape lagi, we went hunting for it lah!

The location is at IOI City Mall, Putrajaya. The kiosk is near the ice skating rink, next to Nelson's and Just Pie.

So here is the menu. My favourite is Cha Yen. The large size cost only RM5.50. If not mistaken in Bangkok around 30 bhat. When I was in Koh Samui I managed to drink cha yen once at Faria Halal Restaurant and the taste was freakingggg awesome. Same like the one in Bangkok. But here in Malaysia, hmm not so kawww. The mixture just not right, macam ada kurang sumthing. But its not a big deal. Maybe next time getting better kot.

We ordered cha yen, thai milk green tea and dry tomyam noodle. The thai milk green tea also nice minus the scent. I cannot drink that sebab ada bau tu and I hate that scent. The scent is not bad actually, but I just cannoottt smell it. Haha. The dry noodle is nice, tomyam kaww!! I think it worth my RM5. :)

Trip to Koh Tao & Koh Samui (Part 1)

Hello!

After a year baru nak bertrip-trip. Last year x leh buat trip sebab kena saving nak kawen! Lepas kawen pon sama jugak, nak kena saving for future. Dah banyak kali ajak husband pergi somewhere tapi masing-masing malas nak check tiket and plan trip. Then our friend ada text me and kami duk sembang pasal future trip lah. I told my friend I xde plan sangat, kalau ada pon maybe trip dalam negara je. My friend plak tengah plan nak g Koh Phangan and I pon sebok la cakap nak joinnn! Bila tanya husband, kali ni dia okay utk g jalan-jalan so sampai la kami ke Koh Tao and Koh Samui. Yes, plan asalnya nak ke Koh Phangan tapi memandangkan full moon party yang bakal berlansung tu kami tukar ke Koh Samui and Koh Tao.

Kalau tak silap, tiket ke Surat Thani kami beli around end of February. Ada masa sebulan nak buat research pasal hotel, activities and transport. Tapi sebab dah beli tiket flight terpaksa la jugak redah.

Nak tau kena I cakap perjalanan dalam tempoh yang lama?

KL - Surat Thani : 1 hour 30 minutes (flight delay to 12pm, patutnya 10:30am)
Surat Thani Airport - Donsak Pier : 1 jam -+ (naik bus 1:45pm and arrived at the pier at 3pm)
Waiting for ferry to arrive at 4pm via Lomprayah ferry company.
Donsak Pier - Koh Tao : supposed to arrive at 7pm but sampai at 8pm lebih.

Dapat rasa semua jenis transport la pendek kata..

*Kalau sampai airport Surat Thani better terus solat sebab kat Donsak pier memang xde tempat sesuai plus anjing duk berkeliaran sana sini. Or boleh solat dalam ferry. Biasanya ferry akan full during peak season so pandai-pandai je la nanti cari ruang.

Okay, sampai je kat airport setelkan hal kastam, amik beg, imigresen then terus keluar cari kaunter ferry. Ada satu kaunter paling dekat dengan pintu International Arrival, on the right side (refer below picture) jual tiket bus + ferry to your destination. Our aim was Seatran sebab masa baca review ramai cakap Seatran ikot schedule. And Lomprayah agak tidak menepati masa. Ye lah, risau jugak kang ferry delay, bila pulak nak sampai pulaunya. Jalan punya jalan terjumpa la kaunter ferry Seatran tapi malangnya ferry dorang yang pukul 4 dah sold out! Panik sekejap! Mat saleh tu cakap nak tolong tanya kan ferry Lomprayah. Dia call member dia and member dia cakap ada 5 seat lagi kosong. Bertambah la cuak sebab dia cakap lagi, next ferry waktu malam and sampai pulau esok pagi! Memang tak mungkin la kannn nak tido dalam ferry. Bilik dah bayar sia-sia je. Pastu mat saleh tu tunjuk suh g beli tiket kat satu kaunter ni, terletak paling kanan hujung dunia airport sana. Harga display dia untuk bus and ferry (one way) ke Koh Tao ialah 950 bhat. I mintak kurang dia tak nak bagi! Haha. Pastu I told my group yang kaunter first tadi tu jual 900 bhat je. So kami kembali la ke sana dengan hati berdebar-debar takot tiket sold out.

Alhamdulillah tiket ada lagi and nak tak nak kena jugak naik ferry Lomprayah sebab tu je yang available dalam masa terdekat. Alhamdulillah jugak ferry tak delay. Rasanya ferry full sebab ramai rakyat-rakyat nak ke Koh Phangan untuk full moon partaayyy on 5th April. Ferry-ferry ni memang akan stop kat Koh Samui dulu then Koh Phangan and lastly baru Koh Tao. Lepas Koh Phangan tu seat dah banyak kosong. Recharge energy untuk guna bila sampai kat pulau.

Oh, pasal ferry plak, boleh pilih nak duduk tingkat bawah (aircond) or belah atas (open air). Kami pilih duduk belah bawah sbb nak tido kan. Barula selesa sikit. Dalam ferry ni ada kaunter jual makanan and minuman. Boleh la kalau nak alas perut dengan choco bar mcm snickers, mars and air. Sandwich pon ada jual, tu pon kalau lalu la nak makan. Hihi. Ferry sangat selesa tapi kalau dah lama sangat pon jadi x selesa sangat lah. Lepas ferry turunkan rakyat-rakyat yang nak ke Koh Phangan tu, I saje naik tingkat atas nak usha keadaan. Feeling-feeling titanic kejap bila angin kena muka, kadang2 kena simbah gak ngn ayaq laut. Dapat la sekilo garam kat muka ni.

Bila ferry dah slow down nak sampai jetty Koh Tao, rasa tersangat lah excited! Terus amik beg and beratur untuk keluar dari ferry ikot orang ramai. Kat luar tu ramai la abang-abang teksi tunggu offer nak hantar ke hotel. Punya la berlagak sebab masa google hotel tempat kitaorng nak stay tu cakap dekat dengan jetty, so kami decided utk jalan kaki je. Kami lalu depan stall pancake, ada nampak tulis halal kat stall ni. Perut dah bunyi-bunyi tapi ramai plak yang tengah beratur kat situ. Malas nak tunggu sebab time-time penat mcm tu nampak katil je. Haha. Kami ada stop dekat satu kedai ni tanya direction ke hotel, dia suggest kami amik teksi sebab agak jauh dia kata and kena lalu jalan berbukit. Kami tanya dia harga teksi and dia cakap around 300bhat per person. Mahalnya! So berjalan la kami dengan confidentnya, dah la gelap gelita kat certain road tu, berbukit-bukit xyah cakap la curamnya, siap sesat masuk hotel orang lain lagi tapi nasib baik pekerja dia baik sangat and bagi kami shortcut lalu hotel dia. Pekerja hotel tu cakap dalam 10 minit perjalanan. Dah lebih dari 10 minit tapi tak jumpa-jumpa jugak hotel, I dah cuak sebab banyak anjing berkeliaran. Dah bising-bising kat husband nak sewa motor. Lol! Nampak balai polis then tanya lagi lokasi hotel kami, abang polis tu cakap another 2 minit. Gulp! Nampak anjing besaq bak hanggggg tengah tido depan kedai or hotel. Nasib baik tengah tido, kalau tak confirm I yg tido kat balai polis tu.

Akhirnya sampai la kat hotel yang kami book, nama In Touch Resort. Kami pilih hotel ni sebab baca review yang hotel ni best. My husband and I bukan penggemar aircond so kami ok je dengan bilik kipas.

Ni la bilik kami, sexy kan? Haha. Banyak benor cerminnya. Nasib baik langsir tebal! Basic things je ada kat dalam bilik contohnya towel, air mineral, syampoo, sabun, kit berus gigi and ubat gigi, shower cap and hot shower yang x berapa hot. Keluasan bilik, ok laa.. Just nice untuk dua orang. Our toilet, standard size je. Maybe each room ada design lain-lain kot. Lepas site visit kat bilik my friend tu, I ternampak cicak besarrrrrr gila kat dinding bilik dorang and ada mengeluarkan bunyi pelik. I tanya pekerja hotel ape nama binatang itew.. Dia cakap gecko! Or tokek my husband said. So malam tu kami tido ditemani bunyi gecko lah. Oh, nyamuk kat hotel ni xyah cakap la, banyak gila and 10 kali ganda besar dari nyamuk biasa. Just jangan  berangan nak bukak pintu and tingkap bilik seluas-luasnya kalau x nak darah kering kena hisap ngn encik nyamuk hutan!

Above pic : ni jalan depan hotel kami, kecik je. Ramai mat saleh merempit kat sini. Cuak jugak sebab dorang ni ada je yang baru first timer bawak moto. Kang tak pasal-pasal kena langgar dengan dorang. Seberang jalan menghadap hotel tu ada restoren. Cantik sangat deco nya and very santai tapi malangnya makanan tak halal! Nak minum je boleh laa kot..

Lepas mandi manda tukar baju semua kami keluar usha keadaan sekitar dengan harapan jumpa kedai makan halal. Boleh la I berjalan-jalan dengan tenang, tapi dah bg tau husband awal-awal I nak balik hotel before anjing-anjing tu bangun. I rasa bila kedai dah tutup anjing tu bangun la jadi pak guard. Oh ye, I ada nampak one of my friend makan banana crepe nutella tu, then waktu jalan-jalan tu dia tunjuk la satu stall yg jual benda crepe tu. Sambil tangan seluk beg nak amik duit I usha la menu crepe tu.. Tiba-tiba ternampak "... pork sausage with chilli..", terus simpan balik wallet and sambung jalan masuk 7E sebelah. I told my friend bout that and dia cakap eh yeeee keeeeee? Haha! Confirm dia tak perasan, nak buat mcm mana kan..

Kat bilik xde kettle nak panaskan air so kami mintak hot water from restoren depan hotel tadi. Restoren tu kepunyaan hotel jugak so no hal lah. Kami beli bekas (tempat letak ais) utk isi air panas and rendam our instant food together with pinggan kertas. So dinner kami that night ialah Briyani Kambing. X nak kalah kauuu.. Hhaha.. Lepas makan memang I nak tido je sebab kedai pon banyak dah tutup andddddd pak guard dah bangunnn! Takot! Besar oiii sekor-sekor, paras pinggang and badan tough weh. Pergi gym gamaknya. Hihi!

Cantik kan deco restoren ni? Ramai mat saleh datang dinner kat sini. Memang santai la, ada slow music, angin pantai sempoi-sempoi bahasa. Menu dia tebal dah macam kamus dewan, sure banyak makanan sedap dalam tu. Restoren hotel In Touch Resort ni memang di rekomen oleh Tripadvisor, munkin sebab tu la ramai datang sini. Ada nampak few award tergantung kat area receptionist hotel. Pekerja hotel memang sangat helpful. Memang patut dapat award lah.

till the next post.. xx

Romantic Dinner at Paresa Phuket

FashionValet X TheLuxeNomad contest going to end soon and I would like to try my very best for this contest because its not just a contest to me but more to a challenge on telling people bout my angan-angan (dreams) and imaginations. #ishyshycat

Okay guys, remember bout my "dream" from previous blog post? The romantic dinner thingy I mentioned earlier?

Yes! Yes! Yes!
The Romantic Dinner!
ROMANTIC INFINITY POOL DINNER!

What do you think bout this? I love it so much!

Two of us sitting by the infinity pool accompanied by the comforting touch of sea breeze and the calming wave's sound as the background music. Perfecto!

Eh, wait! Something is missing.. Food!
Dont worry bout that because Paresa Phuket have their best culinary team that will prepare a mouth watering three course menu which designed especially for us and dine amongst the lights of the fiber optic lit pool (awesome rightttttt?) and Phuket's star studded sky.

Now its the "perfecto" and memorable dinner that I will never forget. A moment to be cherish and passed by to our children and so on.

:)

What a romantic dinner without a stunning dress right? I choose this emerald green crystal dress to be paired with black satin shawl, sequinned clutched and a pair of black high heels For me, it such a great combination between emerald green and black. It gives me an exclusive aura for "romantic mood".

There is no other reason for me other than to cherish and experience the heaven of all heavens brought to reality by Paresa Phuket... and I'd like to win a stay at Paresa Phuket on The Luxe Nomad so much, as much as my dream clouds keep on popping out.. waiting for FashionValet to make it come true!

FashionValet X The Luxe Nomad

Whattttttt?? Free getaway??
I want I want!!

That was my reaction when I came across the FashionValet's instagram post on their FashionValet X The Luxe Nomad blog contest. But then, realizing that I am not a good writer especially when it come to "contest-related", I decided to skip this contest. I told my husband bout this and he said, just give a try, who knows if it is your lucky day.

So, here I am trying my very best of luck!

Actually, I've been to Phuket before with my family. It was a road trip and you know a road trip is so time consuming! We dont really had chance to stroll around on the Phuket famous beaches, experiencing the local culture or even relaxing on the beach enjoying the sun and sea-breeze. What I can remember, we were on a day trip to Phi Phi Island, back to hotel, sleep, woke up early in the morning and start our journey to the next destination.

Sooooo... Thanks to FashionValet for giving us (blogger) the chance of a lifetime..

*drum rolls*
*drum rolls*
*drum rolls*

to win a head-to-toe ensemble from FashionValet and a 3 days & 2 nights stay at Paresa Phuket by The Luxe Nomad!!

Have you check out Paresa Phuket website? If no, please please please spend your-less-than-5-second to click on the link and be warned that the website will cause you a day-dreaming session up for a week! :)

Let me give you a peek of this resort.

Wakey wakey! Yes, I know this resort is freaking awesomeeee!

Look at the scenery of this resort, very calm and peaceful. Located on the sea side slopes facing the azure blue water of Andaman sea with a spectacular view that are more than enough to make us forget the reality of life for a while. The resort design are modern and yet still revered the traditional elements in it which bring the luxury, simplicity and romantic ambience under one roof. I really love the airy and spacious atmosphere within the villa, and having a private infinity pool in every room is plus. Of course, it wont be called a getaway if spa isn't included. Surely everyone love to be pampered right?! Not to forget, the romantic dinner for all the lovely couples out there. Dining with your lover under the stars, by the pool or during the full moon. It is your choice!

Everything is beyond perfection!

As for me, I'd like to win a stay at Paresa Phuket on The Luxe Nomad because I will never ever ever afford to have this kind of luxury holiday everrr in my life! Even by doing some saving, cut some budget here and there (this including no more shopping, by shopping means NO MORE FASHIONVALET!). Arghhhh, I cannot handle that! Too many pretty things there. Its a heaven for every woman. Same goes to Paresa Phuket, Heaven of all Heavens! Actually I've been dreaming to have a rest and relax kinda of getaway and this opportunity came right in time.

I want to experience a getaway where there's only me and my loved one spending our time together, chatting and reminiscing bout the past, dreaming on our future.. relaxing and lazying on the sun bed, reading some books, take a dip in the pool while enjoying the beautiful scenery and having a spa treatment to rejuvenate my body and indulge.

Paresa Phuket is definitely the resort that I've been dreaming for, at least once in my lifetime. The place where dreams become reality!

.

Having a wonderful getaway is awesome but a stylish getaway is perfection! Here are some of my pick from FashionValet on what I will wear for the 3 days & 2 nights getaway.

Bright color will spice up the mood for getaway and stand out from the ordinary.

A laid back outfit for beach walk and pair it with a tote bag and a comfortable sandal is must!

Saying goodbye always the hardest one. Ending my vacation with below outfit and new spirit to face the challenging life.

Should I start packing now? ;p

FoodHunters Feastival, The Strand Kota Damansara

Organizer : FoodHunters Feastival
Date : 28 February & 1st March 2015
Venue : The Strand, Kota Damansara

Dah lama teringin nak pergi event jual makanan macam ni tapi tak kesampaian disebabkan me and my husband kerja on different days. Tapi sekarang dah dapat tukar hari keje together-gether so senang la sikit nak g berjimba bila off day.. Laju je datang idea nak g sana sini, seronok sbb ada driver. :p

Biasanya kalau nak pergi tempat jauh dari umah, I tak fokus only kat satu tempat je. Alang-alang dah g jauh-jauh tu kan, terus buat list tempat yang nak g such as Ikea, The Strand, makan-makan area Damansara etc. Kira sekali harung je la senang and jimat.

Okay, back to FoodHunters Feastival.. Banyak jugak booth-booth and food truck yang jual makanan menarik. Tapi memang tak dapat lah nak beli semua benda kannn.. Kena pusing-pusing dulu tengok which one paling menarik hati then baru boleh proceed beli. Untuk first round kami beli Vietnamese Roll kat booth Foodie Escape and Beef Nachos kat booth Tanjak Crew.

Second round, my husband beli Char Kuey Teow and I beli Nasi Lemak Kerang. Terliur tengok ada 2-3 orang duk makan Nasi Lemak, I siap pusing 2-3 kali cari booth Nasi Lemak tu. Nasib baik jumpa. My husband pon cakap sedap and murah. RM4 je and banyak plak tu dia letak kerang, sambal ikan bilis and telur separuh. Berbaloi! Ada meja disediakan kalau nak terus makan kat situ, ye lah, buat ape nak tunggu lama-lama kalau perut dah berbunyi kannn..

This Vietnamese Roll cost us RM10. Pernah makan before kat Vietnam and I dont really like it. Hehe. My husband yang nak try, alang-alang jumpa kat sini I suruh dia beli. He said mahal la benda niii.. Hahha..

And this is Beef Nachos, RM9. Husband yang nak try sebab dia still x puas makan Nachos from Big Brothers. As for me, I still cant get over the Beef Nachos from Royale Grill (RM5). Yang Tanjak Crew ni a bit tawar and daging sikit sangat. Xpuas makan. :(

Cant wait for the next FoodHunters Feastival!!
*part makan memag laju jeee..*
