Japan Trip - Tokyo!

 Hello Japan!!!

Seriously I cant believe I went to Japan. I selalu setkan my mind that kalau nak g Japan, kena ready mental and physical. First sebab language barrier, then banyak sangat train yang ada sampai boleh juling mata and lastly nak kena banyak berjalan from one place to another. Ni adalah kesimpulan yang I buat based on my friends yang pernah sampai ke Japan. Pernah research before tapi half way sebab dah tak leh nak hadam sangat dah. Pening! Haha. Actually my trip ni not so backpacking or planned holiday pon, I'm just another add on to my brother's trip. Plus, tak banyak budget needed so I proceed with this last minutes plan.

We took AirAsia KL-Narita flight and arrived at the destination around pukul 8 pagi. Tido je sepanjang flight, since we dont want to waste our time sleeping during the day. Sampai je di Narita, macam biasa la with all the customs, immigration semua tu. Customs ok je, nothing much but masa dekat immigration the officer ask permission untuk selongkar our bag. Can u imagine my backpack penuh dengan baju yang I dah bersusah payah sumbat elok-elok tu dia nak geledah?? Headache kejap nak kemas balik semua tu. Confirm tak leh nak zip balik! Kikiki.. Masa officer tu (lelaki) nak buka my beg, I macam made a little scream like "aaaaaaaaa". And then the officer said sorry sorry then dia said something kat officemate dia. I tot because of my little scream tu I nak kena tahan. Rupanya dia panggil officer perempuan untuk selongkar my beg, mungkin dia ingat I segan kalau officer lelaki yang selongkar beg I. Bagus betol abang officer ni. So, officer perempuan tu selongkar (in a polite way la) punya selongkar akhirnya dia fed up. Dia cakap sorry and thank u sambil kemas beg I. Haha. Told yaaa, bajuku sangat banyak!

Lain cerita with my brother and his wife. officer tu selongkar beg dia and found some food. Kena bawak utk inspection maybe takot illegal stuffs. Tin sardin kena inspection okeh! Hihi. Then ada satu plastic cekodok Adabi pecah. U know that cekodok color kan, putih-putih macam tu.. Hahh amik, dengan cekodok pon masuk bilik inspection. Alhamdulillah, semua makanan kami lepas inspection tu and xde yang kena penjara. Hihi. Then the officer help my brother to clean up his beg and give extra plastic for the cekodok Adabi yang pecah tu. Baik betol, tak henti senyum dari awal sampai la abis inspection sambil borak-borak.  

Then we headed to the train station. Memula ingatkan nak naik bus but the next bus pukul 2! Memang tak la nak bazir masa kat airport. Sambil jalan menuju ke train, my brother nak sewa pocket wifi but xde yang accept cash macam kat Haneda Airport. Not sure why his card was denied. So no internet wifi for us. Satu hal plak xleh nak contact his friend. We tot of using public phone tapiiii syiling plak xde! Tragedy betol! We proceed to the train, bought the ticket then while waiting for the train, I terpandang notis "free wifi" and can be use for one hour. So my brother texted his friend bagi tau yang kami dah sampai but yeah surely we wont be getting reply once the wifi is gone. Tawakal je laah. Sampai ke station nearby rumah kawan adik I, we decided not to susahkan dorang. Since my brother dah pernah datang before so he still ingat jalan to his friend's house. Kami sewa teksi and cost us 1000 yen (around RM30). Wife kawan adik I was surprised tengok kami terpacak depan pintu rumah, patutnya dia g amik kami earlier. 

Kami berehat for a while and masak nasik with sardin untuk alas perut before we went out and say Hello Tokyo!

Sorry not much picture on our first day. Even the whole trip pon tak banyak. Malas nak pegang handphone or camera.

Philea Resort, Melaka

As usual, bab jalan-jalan ni memang my keje la. I bought this voucher on Groupon. Dah lama actually nak datang sini tapi masa asyik tak mengizinkan. But I am glad that I've finally able to jejakkan kaki at Philea Resort, Melaka. 

Kalau pergi melaka memang tak sah la kalau tak jalan-jalan cari makan. My plan selalunya kena pergi tempat yang ada nice food. Few days before bertolak ke Melaka I dah buat list tempat-tempat makan yang menarik. Of cos asam pedas nombor satu dalam list! Hihi. 

After checked in, my husband and I headed to town for lunch at Ee Ji Ban, the famous chicken rice ball in Melaka. We ordered nasi ayam with add on of my favourite nyonya cili garam sotong and seaweed soup. Yum yum! Memang kenyang sampai malam la. But but but we still want to go to asam pedas shop during the nite time. While waiting for the nite, we went jalan-jalan at Jonker Walk, Stadthuys, Bukit St, Paul and many more. Penattt okehh! 

Oh yea, for asam pedas, kami pilih kedai Asam Pedas Pokok Besar. Our menu that nite was, asam pedas ikan pari, asam pedas tetel (daging) and nasi putih. Since I tak pernah try asam pedas Melaka before, I think this one was quite sedap. Btw, opposite to Asam Pedas Pokok Besar, ada kedai Asam Pedas Claypot. Maybe next time we can try the claypot version. :)

After dinner, we went back to the hotel with full stomach. Memang sesuai sangat untuk tido yang lena. Kikiki. Plus with the room yang sangat cozy and deco yang sangat cantik. Memang rasa tak nak balik umah. The environment pon sangat fresh and tenang sebab dikelilingi pokok-pokok hijau. Actually hotel ni terletak on the left after tol Ayer Keroh and took around 15-20 minutes to the town. Walaupon jauh from the town, surely you will be grateful for its peaceful location.

The next day, after checked out from the hotel, kami sambung hunting for kuih Keria Antarabangsa Haji Jalil. I have no idea actually pasal kuih keria ni tapi ramai je yang suggest dalam blog. So I wanted to give a try. Kedai Kuih Keria ni dekat dengan Masjid Limbongan. Lucky for us kami sampai awal so kuih keria ni memang tengah banyak. At first I bought for RM2, nak beli banyak takot tak kena dengan selera. Masuk kereta, I had a bite of it and told my husband I want to purchase moreeeee! I went out again and add another RM5! Enough for two of us. Kalau ikot hati memang nak beli banyak lagi tapi nanti membazir plak, bukan boleh simpan lama-lama rite? Until now I still teringatkan rasa Kuih Keria ni. I think kuih ni dibuat dari ubi (xsure ubi ape) and disaluti gula melaka. Love its original taste. I'll be back just for youuuuu Kuih Keria!

Belum Rainforest Resort

Hello!

Few days before we started our "normal-working-life", we had a 3D2N trip to Belum Rainforest Resort. I purchased this deal from Groupon for RM899 (original price is RM2030), quite a nice deal because this package came with meals, activities and of cos room!

The journey from our hometown took around 2-4 hours (by car) depending on the weather to Tasik Banding. Yes, Belum Rainforest Resort is located at Tasik Banding. On the left, just before the second bridge if you are from Jeli. I always love this place whenever I drove back from KL to Kelantan using this way with my uncle. Normally we reached Tasik Banding around 8-9am and I was mesmerized by the view. Very nice scenery!

So yeah, this time I got chance to stay here for 3 days. :)

After checked in, we went for a walk. Seriously I cant wait to see their awesome view. Very relaxing!

Cant afford to stay in this villa. Haha! Our room is just a Deluxe Room. But can upgrade if you want the lake view or garden view for RM150-RM200 per nite. Its okay, we just stick to that Deluxe Room.

On the way to our room. We got room on the first floor. Oh, I hate the stairs. Very slippery and I almost fell down due to the moss grew on it. Luckily I managed to grab my husband arm. :(

I love to sit outside because of the view. So refreshing!

The activities provided as in the package are night trekking, bicycling and bamboo rafting. However the management told me that for night trekking, they are still in progress building the trail etc. So they replaced with some other activity which is lake tour. After the boatman arrived, we started our tour around the island. The boatman said this island is not that big and we can finish this in 30-40 minutes because my husband told him that I afraid to get on the boat. He also brief us bout the lake history, forest history yada yadaaa.. All I know is I want to reach the jetty asap! Haha.

Short Trip to Cameron Highlands

Its been a while since my last post. Plus not much of a plan lately or should I say this year. No vacation, by vacation tu maksud I no beach trip! Hehe. Ramadhan is just around the corner and there is no room for me to squeeze in for a short break. Can this be consider as a short break? Hihi. 9am-6pm kinda trip!

It was an unplanned activity, we were on our way back to hometown and we were feeling hungry and decided to stop for a breakfast at Gua Musang. Then my cousin came out with this "brilliant" idea of going to Cameron Highlands since it just an hour drive from Gua Musang. So after breakfast we headed to up the hill. 

Actually this is my 3rd time here and nothing much I want to explore. But my cousin insisted on going to the tea plantation etc etc. She said she never been to those places yet so that day I suddenly became a tourist guide for her. Since it just a short day trip we only able to cover few places such as BOH Tea Plantation, Bharat Tea and the market. Oh, the weather up there kinda hot!  

Tea anyone? 

I like their butter cake very much but the lemon butter cake on the right kinda disappointing. 

Hihi! Nice? Wait until you see my full OOTD!

Sweat shirt with big size t-shirt inside, pants (seluar tido) and selipar jepun. Yes, it is the going-to-bed kinda outfit! The original plan was sampai je kat rumah terus tido. 

Lucky for her, she has a denim jacket inside her car. For this kind of emergency use I guess?

Dream come true - Trip ke Maldives!

A week past by but still cant believe that I've been to Maldives. Wohoo! How? Why? When? Bla bla bla.. Biasala bila rasa bosan and rasa lama tak pergi bercuti, tangan mula lah gatal check tiket flight, pakej etc. Browse punya browse ternampak satu deal untuk hotel in Maldives. Murah! Then terus check tiket flight MAS. Memang ditakdirkan la kot for me to visit Maldives. MAS tengah sale that time and the flight ticket was around 1k. Before sale, harga 1.8k! I bought the ticket around March or April. Lepas beli, we did nothing. A month before pergi baru kelam kabut plan. Not much of a plan sebenarnya. Hihi!

Oh, Airasia also ada offer flight to Maldives around September/October. Day flight if I'm not mistaken. Boleh tengok laut-laut Maldives! But for MAS it was a night flight. Boleh tengok lampu-lampu je la. We landed at Ibrahim Nasir International Airport around 10pm. Then transfered to the hotel, HolidayMakers Inn and sleep!

Meals from MAS. Potato salad biasa-biasa je. Tak tau apa nama dessert tu tapi mmg totally tak sedap! Yogourt pon! Erhh.. Tak leh nak telan. Luckily main course dia ok. Oh, siap ada capati cicah ngn dhal. Hihi.

I love this hotel. Still new! Spacious room and living room for Super Deluxe. Its more like a studio apartment. Ada meja makan, sofa, LCD tv, aircond, kipas, hot/cold shower and dapur. Tapi dapur tu tak boleh guna. Maybe dorang tak nak amik risiko kebakaran etc. Kot-kot lah dapat guest yang cuai ke. Hihi. My room got balcony facing the sea but there are some construction going on in front the hotel. However, I still can see the sea but maybe later it will hardly seen bila bangunan depan tu dah siap. Its okay, laut depan tu not that beautiful pon compare to other places in Maldives. Btw, this hotel is located  at Hulhumale. It is an artificial island! Just 15 minutes away from the airport.

Some said (reviews on TripAdvisor) that they cant rest well sebab bunyi construction dari pagi sampai malam. But lucky for me I didnt hear any kind of sound or maybe I was too tired! Haha. They also provide breakfast. Not much but still boleh kenyangkan perut. Berbaloi la dengan harga yang dibayar. Plus, pekerja dorang pon baik. Good service and very helpful.

Distance from airport - 15 minutes

To the beach - 2 minutes (ada big sea pool!)

Ada kedai runcit just in front of the hotel. The price is reasonable.

Kedai makan just walking distance or you can just go to lobby and ask for the menu and let them help you to call for order.

Sebok g amik gambar kat bilik orang. Bilik sendiri lupa nak amik. Lol!

Ni bilik my friends. 3 of them lelaki. Dapat family room. Ada 2 bilik with bathroom dalam setiap bilik. Suka sangat hotel ni sebab tak rasa macam hotel. More to an apartment. Selesa!

My room pon ada living room macam ni tapi a bit smaller. Mine was Super Deluxe.

Family Trip - Hatyai (2)

Good Morning Hatyai!!

Yes, below picture tu my breakfast! Haha. Craving nak makan "Mee Cambo". So tak kira pagi or tengah hari. Redah je. Hihi. Tapi malangnya not that good. Ni more to mee sup with seafood. Ishh, this time tak jumpa the best "Mee Cambo" yet. Sedih! 

After breakfast, plan nak g snow house tapi tutup, so just singgah at the park next to snow house tu je la tengok ikan while the drivers went for breakfast! Haha. Panas siang-siang hari pergi park. Lol! After park, we decided untuk balik ke hotel. Boleh la bagi the children mandi pool. Actually tu lah point nak sewa hotel yang ada pool. 

We moved out from previous hotel (Lee Gardens Plaza Hotel) to this hotel.

Nice kan the pool? Oh, hotel ni very green I guess sebab ada very nice park. Hehe! Ish, lupa nak amik gambar taman tu. At nite ada wedding held there. Seriously very nice! I wanted to take the photo but the walkway to that place were blocked from where I came. Tak nak bagi kacau laluan guest untuk ke wedding tu la kot. 

The hotel name is Hatyai Paradise Hotel & Resort. Bunyi nama macam kat tepi pantai je kan? But no, kat kawasan perumahan! The breakfast is Halal. I think already certified by Thai's Islamic bodies la kot because they displayed the halal logo at the reception. And memang ramai muslim especially from Malaysia datang hotel ni. 

The room is very nice. Jauh beza dengan the previous one. Each room can accommodate 3 person lengkap with 3 towels, 3 pillows (ada extra lagi dalam almari).. Actually can fit in 4 person! The room is very spacious, ada kettle, coffee, tv, aircond of cos, separate shower and bath tub (the bathroom also spacious)!. And all this for 1200 bhat. I think this price is not for standard room. Maybe ada yang cheaper than that. Sorry forgot already. :)

Oh, ada wide balcony too!

Later that nite we went to the famous night market, Perk Thai. Yes, shopping time! Haha. The place is very big and we just managed to cover like suku je kot? Penat nak jalan. The price is quite reasonable. Some boleh tawar but mostly fixed price. Around 100-500 bhat depending on the stuff la. If lapar time shopping tu boleh beli makanan kat halal shop. Kat Hatyai still can see many muslim and halal food. So no worries. :)

We had dinner at the shop nearby our hotel. Again no picture sebab lapar sangat-sangat! Haha. We had Tomyam, Kailan Ikan Masin, Telur Dadar and Daging Masak Merah. Semua sedap!! The food was for 6 person and it cost 480 baht!!! 80 bhat each person. Murah jugak la sebab banyak. Hihi. Balik hotel, tido kekenyangan. :)
