Jakarta - Bandng (Part Three) : The Goodbye!

Hahh.. Finally rajin nak buat last entry for Jakarta - Bandung. Hari-hari terakhir ni dah tak banyak aktiviti. Duit dah habis. Sedih! Hihi. We supposed to go to Kawah Putih on third day tapi Supir told us yang ada tanah runtuh kat sana so terpaksa la cancel. We decided to go to Pasar Baru again sebab nak shopping lagi! So we spent two days at Pasar Baru. At night we went to the factory outlet, Rumah Mode. Singgah sekejap je sebab dah penat tawaf Pasar Baru. Nothing much there (for me la..). Then headed to homestay untuk packing and rest. :)

Boleh nampak Tangkuban Perahu from roof top Pasar Baru!

This is "Es Campur" from food court Level 6 Pasar Baru. Different kedai, different style of "Es Campur" and this is the best!

On the fourth day, before headed to Jakarta kami singgah at the famous Kartika Sari. Wajib singgah untuk borong kek bawa pulang ke Malaysia and also as bekalan makanan dalam perjalanan ke Jakarta. I bought their famous brownies, Almond Brownies and Choc Chip Brownies. Sedappp! Boleh abiskan brownies tu alone. I prefer Almond Brownies sebab less rasa chocolate. After done borong kek, sambung perjalanan ke Jakarta and also masa untuk tidoooo! :)

Untuk dimakan dalam perjalanan. Yang bulat ada cili seketul tu best, menyesal beli satu!

Hello Jakarta!

Sampai-sampai je kat Jakarta terus check in apartment. It was 5 hours journeyyyy! Macet banget. Our apartment is next to Central Park and Anggerik Mall, walking distance je. At night we went there for dinner. Pening nak pilih which kedai, at last we decided to settle down at Secret Recipe. Haha! BTW, pening nak pilih tu sebab risau tak halal but the apartment owner told us semuanya halal except yang ada tulis "pork". Hmm..??

Then the final day arrived, sadly we had to make move to the airport. It was quite early tapi ok la dari tertinggal flight kan. While waiting for flight, I ada nampak dekat tv airport saying that a plane crashed at Bali's airport. Scary! Especially bila kejap lagi nak naik kapal terbangggg.. Haha.. Anyway, the journey has to end! Goodbye Jakarta - Bandung!

The Grato, Bangi

Deelicioouusss!

A-MUST-VISIT-TRY-etc!

This was at The Grato, Bangi. Went there for dinner and worth the journey (stuck jam + hujan). I ordered Lamb Pasta served with black pepper sauce. Awesome! Perfect rasanya. And the lamb tak keras, just like you want it to be. It was a quick dinner, hopefully will go there again and try out different meals.

Jakarta - Bandung (Part Two)

The day everyone tungguuu.. Shopping day! Supir datang around 9am then we headed to Pasar Baru. On the way to Pasar Baru kami singgah di butik Jenahara. Supir yang recommend actually.. Bagus btol Pak Supir ni, tau aje what we want. Hihi! My sister yang kenalkan I dengan Jenahara ni, so alang-alang dah jejakkan kaki kena la beli something. I bought 4 pieces of shawls. One for my sister and another three untuk saye! I bought the famous two tone shawl for her. Cost around 125,000.00 rupiah.

Selesai je di Jenahara, sambung perjalanan ke Pasar baru. I browsed through the picture taken and guess what.. I cant find any picture of Pasar Baru! Yang ada hanyalah gambar sekitar Bandung town. Haha! I guess you know why.. Bussssyy shoppppingg! Rambang mata tengok kain-kain lace, ready made blouse, kain telekung etc.

I went there on weekdays, mungkin sebab tu la x jam sangat. Restaurant pon x full sangat. But on Friday night nak g dinner kebanyakkan restaurant full! Supir bagi tau yang during weekend ramai dari Jakarta turun ke Bandung dan jalan akan sesak. Sama situasi dengan Pasar Baru, my mum told that masa dia datang dulu nak jalan pon susah. Very crowded. But this time not that crowded. Lucky us.

Pasar Baru is a center for everything I guess. Semua ada. Our Supir advised to hire someone called "Adik" untuk membantu kami angkat barang and jadi guide. He's 23 years old and just got married for a month. Tips nya ikot keikhlasan diri sendiri. Senang jugak ada guide ni. X payah nak jalan sana-sini cari barang. Dia akan bawa terus ke tempat yang dikehendaki. Adik told that mostly pelancong akan tertumpu ke tingkat-tingkat 2 or 3 ke atas which the price agak tinggi. Pasar Baru ada 8 tingkat, D1 and D2 jarang menjadi tumpuan and harganya agak murah. Nasib baik my mum and aunty tak beli telekung di tingkat atas, harga satu telekung cecah 300,000.00 rupiah above. Padahal di tingkat bawah boleh dapat harga bawah 200,000.00. Yes, kena pandai nego harga. Oh ya, becareful dengan penyeluk saku! Bukan lelaki je tau yang buat keje menyeluk saku ni, perempuan pon sama. Dont trust anyone! Surau ada disediakan di tingkat paling atas. Food court di tingkat 6. Kami lunch di food court gerai nama Kemangi kalau tak silap. Food court tingkat 6 agak bersih berbanding tingkat bawah. Mostly halal tapi tak tau la if ianya betol-betol halal ke tak. Ada one of my friend told that dorang akan cakap halal je, padahal some of them guna barang yang tak halal. Contohnya daging tikus etc. And kebersihan sangat penting, cari kedai yang bersih kalau tak memang keracunan makanan la. Avoid street food!

After Pasar Baru we went to Jalan Riau. Kejap je singgah there as we all kepenatan. Tapi my aunty sempat shopping handbag di Rumah Tas and jalan-jalan cuci mata di Heritage. Then we proceed with dinner di Suharti, famous with ayam goreng kreuk-kreuk.

Kampung Daun, Bandung

Welcome to Kampung Daun!

Hihi! Sorry tak banyak gambar kat Kampung Daun sebab kami hanya singgah untuk solat. As I wrote before patutnya kami akan lunch kat sini tapi masih rasa kenyang sebab dah lunch on our way from Jakarta to Bandung. I thought that I can have the experience untuk makan kat sini. Hihi! Tapi I dont mind pon since still dapat jejakkan kaki jugak walaupon sekejap. Ahhh, the scenery sangat relaxing! Sejuk mata memandang, macam dalam hutan yang cantik. Hihi. Air pon sangat sejuk, kalau mengantok cuci muka here sure akan fresh.

If I'm not mistaken Kampung Daun ada provide penginapan too because one of their staff asked my mum if kami menginap or just drop by. Sure best kalau dapat menginap here, suitable for honeymooners I guess. Love the fresh air so much! Nyaman sekali! Hihi. Supir cakap makanan kat sini agak mahal and boleh cecah 800,000.00 rupiah or lebih untuk 5 orang. Biasanya our food cost around 200,000.00 - 350,000.00 rupiah je. However, I'm not sure if that is true or not. Tapi biasa la kan, tempat pelancongan sure akan ada yang cekik darah punya. InsyaAllah kalau ada rezeki boleh datang lagi untuk makan here! :)

Jakarta - Bandung (Part One)

Just got back from holiday-shopping trip to Jakarta and Bandung, Indonesia. It was for 5d4n, 3 days in Bandung and 2 days in Jakarta. The reason I bought ticket to Jakarta because flight ticket to Bandung was expensive at that time. Plus I can visit 2 places in one trip. But I dont recommend this! Penat travel between 2 cities. The distance is not that far but with the traffic when entering Jakarta rasa macam nak keluar kereta buat keje part-time main guitar along the street! So next time boleh bawa guitar incase terstuck dalam traffic jam.

Our flight to Jakarta di awal pagi at 7 am so that night we spent time at LCCT. We reached Jakarta around 8 am (Indonesia time sejam lambat) then terus ke Bandung. It took around 3-4 hours including berhenti for lunch at their RnR, KM19. We had our first meal at a restaurant serving nasi padang. It was nice especially ayam goreng yang ada kreuk-kreuk. Licin menjilat jari sudu!

After makan we continue our journey to Bandung. Perut kenyang terus tido lena dalam perjalanan. Hihi! Tau-tau dah sampai kat entrance Tangkuban Perahu. Patutnya kami ke Kawah Putih tapi hari dah lewat and it took around 3 hours more untuk ke Kawah Putih so the driver suggest to go there tomoro morning. Turun je dari kenderaan ramai "peminat" menyapa. Luckily for us sebab Tangkuban Perahu dah dibuka for public. It was closed for a while sebagai langkah berjaga-jaga as it still active. Cantik sangat the view there. As per advised by our supir, jangan beli barang-barang yang dijual around that area sebab mahal! Double or even triple dari harga asal. And dont even look at their eyes sebab nanti rasa nak beli bila dengar pujuk rayu "peminat" tu. Some of them ada guna "ayat-ayat" untuk attract pelancong beli barang jualan. My uncle pernah beli tasbih yang kononnya dibuat dari batu-batu sekitar Tangkuban Perahu for almost juta-juta rupiah. Later at the hotel dia baru realize yang dia kena tipu.

After Tangkuban Perahu, we headed to Kolam Air Panas. We skipped Strawberry Park sebab dah pernah pergi kat Cameron Highlands. Hihi! On the way to Kolam Air Panas, kami singgah bergambar kat Ladang Teh. Love the scenery, very green and calm.

After Kolam Air Panas we headed back to town. Again we stopped at the famous Kampung Daun for prayer. Patutnya lunch kat sini tapi still kenyang. So we decided untuk dinner kat town. I will upload picture of Kampung Daun on the next post since yang ni dah agak panjang jalan ceritanya. Hihi. So I end this with our dinner at Praoe. Susah betul nak sebut until supir tu yang bagi tau actually it is Perahu! Food served sangat sedap and berpatutan harganya. At first ingatkan mahal sebab deco kedai macam fine dining je.. My aunty ordered air Alpukat (Avocado). I was like "euww, its green!". I beranikan diri untuk rasa and it turned out to be my favourite drink for the whole trip! Haha.

The Good Old Days..

Just got back from meeting old friends from college. 10 years already knowing each other. Three of them are happily married! The gathering was held at Wondermilk, Uptown Damansara. It was my idea sebab nak sangat try their famous Super Beef & Fries.

Baby Zahraa also joined us tadi. Asked Nana to bring her little pwincess together. Hihi. Zahraa is so adorable! Nana and her family came all the way from Seremban for Baby Fair at Midvalley. So alang-alang dia datang boleh la lepaking together-gether. :)

Bila ada "lepak" sure ada "makan". Hihi. Yea of course I ordered Super Beef and Fries and Kopi Rusa! I like the mixture of Kopi Rusa, very mild taste. I dont like if rasa too much coffee actually. Look at the bottle! First impression macam poison bottle. Hehe. Really adore their creativity in decorating the shop and menu. Btw, this is not my first visit and normally just dropped by beli their famous cupcakes and cookies. Never taste other meals except cupcakes and cookies! Ni kira my first time eating here la. Okay, back to Super Beef and Fries.. For me, its perfect! Nothing to complain about, except the portion is big! Hihi. Cant finish them alone.

Dr. Martens

Its been a while dah drooling wanting for Dr Martens' shoes. Cant really decide which one yang nak. Rasa macam nak semua! Not sure if all these shoes are available in Malaysia because I have not visit their store yet. Yeah, me going to the malls these days is really not-an-often-kind-of-thing.

Anyway, I'm so onto this Battersea hi-cut boots! But still wondering if it is suitable for Malaysia's weather or not. Ermm, and will I really wear this? I'm not a frequent flyer to oversea especially the one with the cold weather. I love this so much and I dont know if it worth to buy or not. :(

Another options are as below. From left, Shoreditch, Evan and Stratford. Evan kinda cantik! With the flower thingy. Hihi. All in below picture I guess are normal shoes. I mean can be worn at any weather. Ala, nowadays nobody care kan? Wearing Battersea here in Malaysia.. Why not? :)
