Gyeongbokgung Palace

Actually our visit to Gyeongbokgung Palace adalah on the first day but since I don't feels like buat post according to the "Day 1, 2 etc", I buat entry based on places. During our visit ni the temperature sangat la sejuk, I think it was around -6 or -7. Pinjam glove my friend since mine sangat nipis, tak tahan sejuk langsung. Tangan dah jadi merah, kebas and gatal-gatal.

Setibanya dekat Gyeongbokgung Palace, kami sempat tengok ritual pertukaran shift untuk guard-guard palace. Hehe. Siap kena halau sebab pergi dekat sangat dengan guard nak amik gamba during that event. I tak tau yang dorang tengah tukar shift, ingatkan memang ada persembahan. Hihi! Btw, dorang bukan marah pon, just x nak kita kacau the event. Kesian guard-guard tu berdiri lama dalam suhu yang sejuk and they need to go home and rest.

Nothing much here. Just enjoy the walk, scenery and historical building. After done touring this palace, kami berjalan kaki untuk melawat King Sejong Museum and Cheonggyecheon Stream which will be on the next post! :)

Too Cool for School!

Another product I bought from Korea. Yeahhh.. Too Cool for School babeh! Hehe. Tertarik sangat with this brand because of their packaging. I bought Dinoplatz for 10000krw (RM30). Its a lipgloss actually. As you can see it is green but don't worry as it wont let your lip turn green too. Apply on your lip, then the color will appear according to the temperature around you. Oh, the color is red (can see here, I used it at the wedding). It can be warm red, rose, bright red etc bergantung pada suhu and it is long lasting. Love this so much!

I also received 2 free samples as below. Super like!

Tribal, Glitter & Rock

Rock!

Bought this bag during my trip to Penang lepas Ayu's wedding reception (previous post : Her Big Day). Masa kat Penang we went to Straits Quay. One of my friend told that ada street bazaar during weekend. Macam biasalah, niat asal nak cuci mata je.. sekali dengan wallet kena cuci rupanya. Hihi! Btw, love the color which is red and studded skulls on the corner. :)

Tribal!

Its been a while asyik dok view kasut-kasut from Agape Boutique, akhirnya I submit order untuk dua kasut below. Why? I'm afraid nanti sampai-sampai tak muat nak pakai la, too big la. Macam-macam! So far tak pernah lagi beli kasut online and luckily everything went perfect. I ukur my size according to the step given by Agape Boutique on their website. If still afraid to buy online, just visit their concept store at 3rd floor, Parkamaya, Fahrenheit 88.

Glitter!

Worn this during my friend's wedding and I was surprised actually. Its quite comfortable! :)

Hello Kitty Cafe!

Yeay, ada jugak rezeki nak jejak kaki ke Hello Kitty Cafe ni. We went there quite early, around 10am dah terpacak depan kedai tapi malangnya buka at 11am! So kami lepak nearby tunggu pukul 11am. We went there without tour guide actually. Just mintak map/directions to go there. It was easy la jugak from our place, 2 stations je if naik train. From Ehwa University station (Green Line Train) turun dekat Hongik University station, cari Exit 9. Follow je sampai jumpa jalan keluar (Exit 9). Then turn left, you will see KFC on your left at the corner. Jalan straight, on the second building you will see Burger King. Jalan straight lagi ada simpang 4 then belok kanan. Walk straight je sampai jumpe jalan infront of you yang you need to cross, ada tempat melintas depan 7E. After lintas, jalan ke kanan and at the corner of the building turn left. Jalan sikit je lagi then you will see Hello Kitty Cafe punya signboard on your left. Sambil jalan please tengok ke kiri sebab cafe tu tersorok ke dalam sikit. :)

Niat asal nak g Gangnam District dulu then Hello Kitty Cafe, then baru balik hotel untuk checkout pergi airport. Tapi risau x sempat sebab from Ehwa University to Gangnam District took around 40mins pergi and almost 80mins for return train. Tak campur sesat lagi kan.. Kang ada yang kena tinggal dengan kapal terbang, balik Malaysia naik tongkang. Hehe! So we decided to skip Gangnam District and pergi Hello Kitty Cafe. Siap sampai sejam awal ok! Jadi first customer of the day. :p

At Hello Kitty Cafe, we ordered 2 waffles and 2 drinks which cost us around 15,700 krw (RM47+-). My breakfast was Hello Kitty Banana waffle and Hot Chocolate. Love the Hello Kitty decoration on the hot chocolate! Sayang nak minum. Hee! Oh, waffle pon bentuk Hello Kitty. Yeah, everything!! Nama kedai pon Hello Kitty kan.

For me waffle dia macam so-so je. And hot chocolate dia sangat manis! Its okay, saje nak try alang-alang dah sampai kan. Btw, xde la minat Hello Kitty.. Just saje nak melawat as I said before, alang-alang dah sampai kan, why not to check it out.. :)

Her Big Day!

Sadly, I missed the akad nikah ceremony sebab x dapat cuti. Tapi berjaya menghadirkan diri di hari persandingan my bestfriend, Ayu. Arabian theme! Sepatutnya bridesmaid kena pakai baju color lite purple tapi my dress x siap jahit. Terpaksa la pakai color lain and tak jadi bridesmaid. Haha!

Enjoy my tired face yang tak tido for 23 hours!

Ski at Vivaldi Park, Korea

Since the ski park already open on Dec, 23, we decided to skip the Lotte World and headed to Vivaldi Park. Kami bertolak from our guesthouse around 7 a.m (korea time, 6 a.m M'sia). Freaking sleepy! While waiting for the bus to arrive, kami beli few bekalan untuk dimakan semasa perjalanan. Tiba-tiba teringat the famous Banana Milk (read on others blog, its-a-must-try!). Its delicious and creamy. Rasam macam susu dengan perisa banana. Hehe. It cost me 1200krw and btw, the price is different tau depending on kedai yang jual. Ada yang harga sampai 1400krw. I love their pop-corn, colorful and got many flavor inside. The journey took around one hour, and the road macam nak naik genting. I was sleeping along the way to avoid pening. (>_<)

Gambar wajib tunjuk bukti dah jejak kaki ke Vivaldi Park. Its not the real snow okay, its fake! The real one will come soon (already did). Tapi takpe, we don't mind sangat since our purpose nak main ski. Haha! Bercakap pasal ski, too many funny memories, gelak sampai cramp perut. I tried to upload the video but unable due to whatever errors. Sigh! Just enjoy the pictures, not many due to we were too busy with "falling" here and there. Turun2 je cable car terus jatuh. Hehe! Malaysia x de salji, if not we also can ski like a pro. :p

HPV Vaccination

Just done with my second dose of HPV vaccination on Dec, 6. One more to go in 6 months time. I received email from my company regarding this event. The first 3000 employees will receive a subsidy of RM60 on the first dose. This event is part of the company's Wellness Program. There are two vaccination offered actually; Hepatitis A&B and HPV. I decided to take part in HPV vaccination.

While waiting in line for my turn, I was freaking scared actually. I've been texting my cousin (a doctor) asking bout the injection such as "where will it be?", "does it hurt?" and etc. Fyi, I have bad history with needle when I was small.

I was alone that day queueing for my first dose, have nobody to hold or talk and I ended up talking with strangers. (>_<). When it was my turn, I told the doctor "please do it nicely, I'm scared!". And she replied, "don't worry.. sit back and relax, inhale, exhale.. and okay, its done!". I was like "hahh.. really? it was fast!". Then I stand up smiling, walked to my car and headed home since I was off shift that day.

Btw, my second dose went well. Still afraid but able to managed it. My hand feels less numb compared to the first injection which took me two days to get back to normal condition. It worth your money and of course, your life! :)

**Some reading on HPV. If you wish to read more do visit this site or you can google it urself.

HPV Vaccine Information For Young Women - Fact Sheet
Two vaccines are available to prevent the human papillomavirus (HPV) types that cause most cervical cancers. These vaccines are bivalent vaccine (Cervarix) and quadrivalent vaccine (Gardasil). One of the HPV vaccines, Gardasil, also prevents HPV types that cause most genital warts. Gardasil also has been shown to prevent some cancers of the anus, vulva (area around the opening of the vagina), and vagina. Both vaccines are given in 3 shots over 6 months.

Why is the HPV vaccine important?
Genital HPV is a common virus that is passed from one person to another through direct skin-to-skin contact during sexual activity. Most sexually active people will get HPV at some time in their lives, though most will never even know it. HPV infection is most common in people in their late teens and early 20s. There are about 40 types of HPV that can infect the genital areas of men and women. Most HPV types cause no symptoms and go away on their own. But some types can cause cervical cancer in women and other less common cancers— like cancers of the anus, penis, vagina, and vulva and oropharynx (back of throat including base of tongue and tonsils). Other types of HPV can cause warts in the genital areas of men and women, called genital warts. Genital warts are not life-threatening. But they can cause emotional stress and their treatment can be very uncomfortable. Every year, about 12,000 women are diagnosed with cervical cancer and 4,000 women die from this disease in the U.S. About 1% of sexually active adults in the U.S. have visible genital warts at any point in time.

Which girls/women should receive HPV vaccination?
HPV vaccination is recommended with either vaccine for 11 and 12 year-old girls. It is also recommended for girls and women age 13 through 26 years of age who have not yet been vaccinated or completed the vaccine series; HPV vaccine can also be given to girls beginning at age 9 years.

How effective are the HPV Vaccines?
The vaccines target the HPV types that most commonly cause cervical cancer. One of the vaccines (Gardasil) also protects against the HPV types that cause most genital warts. Both vaccines are highly effective in preventing the targeted HPV types, as well as the most common health problems caused by them. The vaccines are less effective in preventing HPV-related disease in young women who have already been exposed to one or more HPV types. That is because the vaccines prevent HPV before a person is exposed to it.  HPV vaccines do not treat existing HPV infections or HPV-associated diseases.

How long does vaccine protection last?
Research suggests that vaccine protection is long-lasting. Current studies have followed vaccinated individuals for six years, and show that there is no evidence of weakened protection over time.

What does the vaccine not protect against?
The vaccines do not protect against all HPV types— so they will not prevent all cases of cervical cancer. About 30% of cervical cancers will not be prevented by the vaccines, so it will be important for women to continue getting screened for cervical cancer (regular Pap tests). Also, the vaccines do not prevent other sexually transmitted infections (STIs). So it will still be important for sexually active persons to lower their risk for other STIs.

Will girls and women be protected against HPV and related diseases, even if they don’t get all 3 doses?
It is not yet known how much protection girls and women get from receiving only one or two doses of an HPV vaccine. So it is very important that girls and women get all 3 doses.

Why is HPV vaccination only recommended for women through age 26?
HPV vaccination is not currently recommended for women over age 26 years. Clinical trials showed that, overall, HPV vaccination offered women limited or no protection against HPV-related diseases. For women over age 26 years, the best way to prevent cervical cancer is to get routine cervical cancer screening, as recommended.

Early Winter at Nami Island.

Baru nak feeling-feeling Winter Sonata tapi x de snow. Actually, dah ada snow turun few days before kami sampai and a week after kami pulang ke Malaysia. Sad! Kami dapat tengok tompok-tompok snow  yang sedang mencair je kat Nami Island ni. :(

Its ok x de snow pon sebab the weather sangat sejuk especially bila ada angin, bertambahlah beku! Jejak je kaki ke Nami Island terus excited nak bergambar sampai lupe cuaca sejuk. Selambe je kuar tangan untuk snap gambar. I can't really feel my hands anymore! Pastu sebok cari unggun api yang disediakan.

Seriously Nami Island sangat cantik. Walaupon pokok-pokok tinggal ranting je and ada few yang masih ada daun color-color. Heee, still can't believe I've been there already! Fresh air, nice view, what else u need more?

After lunch sambung snap gambar lagi. Btw, for lunch kami makan nasi with cheese and telur. Or u can order nasi with tuna and telur. Before makan, kena pakai sarung tangan yang disediakan untuk goncang bekas tu. ITS HOT! Don't ever dare to touch it directly. Opppsy, nampak tak Yeo's punya tin. Hehe. Tu sambal udang Yeo's as perisa tambahan. :p
